VJ DIAGRAM (aka Shannon Winnell) has been Vjing since 2000. He started in Melbourne and then moved to Tokyo in 2003. In Tokyo he has been the resident VJ/ designer for club night 'Barricade' since their beginning in 2004. In the past few years he has produced original live visuals for artists such as MARCUS INTALEX, KLUTE, RAIDEN and DANNY WHEELER and has played at prominent Tokyo clubs such as WOMB, MILK and UNIT.

Diagram: "I always try to put an idea into the videos I create, starting with a theme and building upon what I hear in the music. For example, the video I made for the ASC tune 'Frequency' was based on the constant frequency of movement of the planet earth. I was interested in how, from space, the earth looks so serene and still but if you zoom in on any point there is something moving - I like the contrast between the macro and micro. Also the video for Corrupt Souls' tune 'Samsara' is distictly divided in 4 sections paralleling the idea of samsara 'The eternal cycle of birth, suffering, death, and rebirth.' I guess my intentions are abstract but there is always meaning behind what I put in my videos".
